Welcome to CardioInsight Technologies Inc.

CardioInsightFuture of Cardiac Electrophysiology

CardioInsight is developing the first non-invasive, real-time, beat-to-beat simultaneous mapping and localization solution for the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias and heart failure.

Heart disease is the #1 cause of death in the world. Abnormal electrical activity of the heart (cardiac arrhythmia, including Atrial Fibrillation (AF) and Ventricular Tachycardia (VT)) and Congestive Heart Failure(CHF) are the fastest growing areas for both clinical and industrial development. Improved mapping and localization technologies will be critical to the ongoing efforts to better diagnose and treat these two disease states.

Cardiac arrhythmia ablation and cardiac resynchronization therapy are two of the most exciting, high value medical device arenas that are fast becoming the focus of both the clinical and industrial sectors. Each of these markets represents billion dollar plus businesses that are expected to generate double digit growth for the next 10 to 20 years due to rapid aging of the population and a continuing convergence of enabling technologies. Over the next five years, ablations are expected to quadruple to over 300,000 procedures per year, and CRT implants are anticipated to grow by 2.5 times to over 300,000 procedures per year in the US alone. The worldwide market potential for ECM is estimated to be over $1B per year.

CardioInsight Technologies, Inc. (CIT) is commercializing a revolutionary technology called Electrocardiographic Mapping (ECM) for the purposes of intra-procedural guidance of ablation therapy for arrhythmias, and cardiac resynchronization therapy for heart failure. Electrocardiographic Mapping (ECM) non-invasively and simultaneously provides detailed cardiac electrical activity information for the entire epicardial surface of the heart for each heartbeat by combining body surface electrical data simultaneously with 3-D anatomical data obtained from CT scans. The CardioInsight System reconstructs and displays 3D images and other useful measures of cardiac electrical activity as if the measurements were taken directly from the surface of the heart.
